Home is a Diversity of Personalities
I’ve never been insecure about my hair, because that's what defines me. The curls, the braids, moreover the twists I shall always let free.
My shiny brown skin
Enlarges my courage proudly, it's like I hear it declare “go shine let them see.”
You mustn't get what I'm doing here, well don't you see, my hair, my skin, what do you think this may lead.
This connection leads to my home, Africa, my home and only home. It’s where I come from, I am not shy it’s just no secret, I just can’t hold. I'm African Canadian, I've lived in Africa most of my life. I later came to Canada for a superior community, a standard level and for more opportunities.
Thank you, Habitat for Humanity for allowing me to share my life and my story.
