The Meaning of my Home

The Meaning of my Home By Roy Currelly The meaning of home for me is all of these places. My big backyard that my dogs run around in and the swing set my Dad made or where me and my sisters walk to get to our Nana and Grandad’s house. My front yard is where I greet my friends when they come over to play. It is where my snowmobile rests in the winter and where me and my dogs will play or wait for the bus. It is where I take the groceries into my home. My den is where I go to relax and watch tv or play games. My living room is where all my family members go and watch movies and play games together. It is also where my Dad goes to relax. My mudroom is where I take my shoes off or my snowsuit. It is also where we come in from a long day of play and work, or where I get my socks wet in the winter. My kitchen is where we eat dinner together or where we bake, and my dogs eat or where I snatch scrumptious snacks and where I drink some delicious juice. My room is where I wind down and play video games and have the whole room to myself. It is also where I go to get rest after a long day of play. My sisters’ room is an unfriendly place. It is where when I walk in I get yelled at “GO AWAY!”, when I'm just trying to tell them that dinner is ready. My Mom and Dads room is where my Mom and Dad lay in bed after a long day of chaos and dreading the next day because it will surely have chaos to come.
