Home is More Than a House

A house can hold a family, but home is family. A home is like a feeling, it holds my heart. A house is like a shelter, it holds my bed. You know that excited feeling when you answer the phone and don’t know who is calling but you wait to see who it is, that’s the excited feeling I get when I enter my home. A house is a place where I can be, but home is where I can sleep because it’s mine, not just any house. Home is love. A house is a shelter. My home is where I can be myself. I have memories at my house, but I do not know how to make family memories at any house. I need my home for that. When I am away from home, I miss it. I can go to my friend’s house, but they will come to my home. I am a part of my home, and my home is a part of me! Thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for helping to build homes for families who need them. People around the world should have shelter but even more they need a home to hold their family. All families should have a place to express their feelings and love!
