Home

Home is a place where you make memories, while a house is just a building. My home is a very special place to me. I have made so many memories from the day we moved to Canada. My family and I came from the Philippines, but we had to move to Canada because it is much easier to live here than the Philippines. As I was growing up my lola, which means grandma, babysat me and my brother. When my sister was born, my lola had to go back to the Philippines again. My siblings and I went to our older cousins' house so they could babysit us. My family and I had a bit hard time moving to Canada. I was only 8 months old riding a plane. My brother was 2 years old, and experiencing our ears pop was the worst. I sat on my mom’s lap and I was pretty good. When we got here, my family lived with my cousin because we were saving up to buy an apartment. Houses are much more expensive. When we moved into our new apartment, we stayed home due to the weather. After a while, we moved into a new house. I had to move schools and now I am here at Sargent Park. When it was Summer, my family, including me, went to meet our friends and cousins that live in Canada as well. Now I am much older than “4 years old”. I am probably more mature to go to a friend's house alone and have sleepovers. I am so happy to have this kind of life even though there are bad things in life. My home is filled with so much love and I appreciate it so much. I would like to experience more things in life as I go on.
