The Meaning of Home

My home is a place that I feel loved by all the people that live there. I feel safe all the time every single day. My home is a place where I always feel happy. The home that I live in is somewhere where I feel taken care of. In my home my family makes me feel loved when they tuck me in at night. My family makes me feel loved when they let me hang out with my friends. When my dog and I play together he makes me feel loved. When my parents make me my favourite meal, they make me feel loved. In my home my family makes me feel safe knowing that my dad is a police officer. My family makes me feel safe when they lock the door every night before bed. My family makes me feel safe when they ask how my day was when I walk in my home from school every day. In my home my family makes me feel happy every time they get me something I really want. In my home my family makes me feel happy when they get fun experiences to go to. In my home my family makes me feel happy when they want to play games with me. That is why in my home I’m grateful for feeling loved, safe, taken care of, and happy in my home all the time. I know that not all kids are as fortunate as me. That is why I’m grateful for all those feelings that I have in my home.
