What Home Means To Me
Home, proud to call my own.
I'm grateful for the roof above my head,
Downstairs, a cozy blanket—
I can curl up when I'm scared.
My parents being there for me,
Taking the time to cherish,
With friends and family—
Even the ones that are gone.
A heartwarming story by the fireplace,
Even there, they are with you.
I know it's hard to call home,
But with my family—
My mom, my dad—
It's peaceful.
You'll understand once you're cozy,
You'll say yes.
When I walk in,
Everyone greets me with a smile.
A great place, just to say—
My home.
Mine, I say.
“It’s me out of a thousand.”
On the couch, we lay down and sit,
A place to call my own.
A great place, just for me.
A safe place, filled with laughter.
Thank you, Habitat for Humanity,
For building Canada,
One home at a time ♥♥♥
