What Home Means to Me
What does home really mean? Is it just a house, or something more? A home isn’t just a house. A house is just a building, it has a roof, it has walls, it has lights and windows. A home is filled with laughter from jokes and conversations. Filled with comfort from people around. Full of support with encouragement. What’s good about having a house when it doesn’t feel like a home?
Many people live in a house, but not in a home. Many houses are not filled with laughter, comfort or support. Homes are filled with memories and warmth. Why live in a cold house rather than a warm home? Others live in a home but not entirely a house. They may have no roof or walls, but they may have encouragement and laughter.
I hope every person receives both a house and a home. One without the other isn’t very nice either.
