Home Sweet Home

A home is a place of safety, peace, and love, A place of laughter and comfort, so warm like a glove. A home is a place where you can make memories, That might even stay in your head for centuries. A home is a place where you can rest at night, A home is a place that feels like a hug so tight. I’m incredibly grateful to have a home like mine, Not everyone lives in a place where they have an enjoyable time. A good home is where you can run, play, and chill, Where you enjoy a delicious meal, without worrying ‘bout the bill. A calm place made up of kind siblings and caregivers, Where they make you laugh so much that you get the shivers. A home can be loving, pleasant, and tender, Where you are respected regardless of age or gender. But sometimes people are not so lucky, Some homes can be unsafe, scary, or yucky! A bad home can feel quite lonely and cold. A place that is dirty and crawling with mold. A type of place where you feel like a pest. With no special dishes and not one single guest. Matilda, you see, had a very bad home, Her parents were mean, making her feel all alone. They never really seemed to care about her, They sent her to a school with a cruel headmaster. It doesn’t take much to make a house a home, Just never forget the memories that roam!
