What Home Means to Me
Home to me is a place where I can feel safe, loved and I can be myself. For me my community feels like home, because I feel safe in my community. I feel safe knowing that if I am ever in danger or if I need help, I know that I have the police, fireman, doctors, nurses and others in our community around me to keep me safe. Love to me is also a huge part of having a place you can call home. I feel love and comfort from my family, friends, and even teachers. I see my friends and teachers five times a week for six hours and so in my eyes I consider my class one big family. Home to me also means that I can express myself without being judged or bullied. In my community, around my family and at school I can be myself. It is a safe space for me to show my true colours. I wish that everyone can experience the joy of having a place they can call home because to me it is the best feeling in the world.
