A Home is More than a House, This is What Home Means to Me

A house can look like a tent, bakery, cafe or a building with some bricks and windows. But home looks like where you belong. A house could just be you all alone on the couch watching your phone or spending the holidays by yourself. Home is spending time with your family members while laughter fills the air and joy spreads. That's what home means to me on the holidays. A house can be big with space to move around shiny furniture and expensive things. A home can also be big or small with no furniture. All you need in a home is family. In a home it doesn't matter if you have expensive furniture or an expensive look. A house is a place to live but a home is a place to forgive. A house can feel like a hotel filled with fancy furniture or a school with math sheets all over the place, but a home feels like a home. Home can feel like a haven where memories are made. Home is where you sleep, wake up, eat and spend time with mom and dad while playing board games and fun activities. Home is like your happy place that feels secure and safe. But home is also a place where you make mistakes and argue to prove who is right but in the end a home is way more than a house.
