A 4 Year Old's Home

When I wake up, I hear dad leaving for the house for work and he is going to make money for the family. I am proud. I hear my mom making breakfast for me and my siblings. It reminds me we are going skating later with the community. The food smells SOOO good and tastes SOOO good and I am a VERY picky 4-year-old! Then my brother and sister start packing for school I get started exploring… my sibling’s bedrooms. Their bedrooms are so cool! I jump on their beds. They are so bouncy. I go eat lunch, yay! It’s the stew we had last night I did not want to eat it, so I had pizza instead. After I had ice cream it was so delicious!!! After 3 hours of Lego alright … my sister, brother and dad are finally home! I feel so jolly in the inside and outside. Me and bro are play fighting while sis is outside making an igloo. All of a sudden, I hear mommy is home and I think time to go skating. While we skate at Valley Gardens I feel home because the whole community is there. I still need help skating since I am only 4 years old so I keep on falling. It is very annoying. Mom is telling me to keep on going. Then I realize that sometimes home is outside of your house and not everyone has a home. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for making houses for so many families. I know my home is the community and community is family no matter what.
