Home is a Feeling

To me, home does not have to be four walls that are built to an address. To me, home is the scent of Ivory Snow laundry detergent that I smelled on my sister when I picked her up to kiss her cheek. To me, home is being outside with my friends to escape the four walls that don’t always feel like home. To me, home is when I put on my headphones, listening to my favorite songs. To me, home is when I see my siblings, even if I don’t always like my little brother. To me, home is when I step into my grandmothers four walls and give her a big bear hug, memaw's hugs make me feel safe. To me, home does not have to be four walls built at an address. Home is a feeling.
