What Home Means to Me

Home is not just walls. Home is a place where you feel connected, where you sleep peacefully. When you wake up you smell breakfast and hear bacon sizzling on the pan. You hear muffled voices coming from the kitchen and you feel the coziness of home. You put on your clothes, and you go to school. At the end of the day, you come home and have a nice, tasty snack. You feel calm. At home you feel the warmth of family. Home is a place where you play video games with friends and family. You do your chores, clean your bedroom and empty the dishwasher. Smelling homemade food makes you hungry. You set the table for guests. Grandparents come over and talk about life. We share the meal, memories and laughter. Home is a place where you have fun. And most of all, you feel happy and at peace.
