A house is not a home

A home is different from a house. A house can be just a random building. But home is somewhere where you are around people that love you, a place where you feel safe. A house can be a home, you just need to find the right one. My home is where I'm surrounded by my family, my brother, my mom and my dad. Home has tons of memories, memories that will make you feel happy inside. A house won't give the same happy feeling that a home brings. Home is somewhere where when the day is over you can rest feeling safe, surrounded by people who love you. A home is where people celebrate you when you have an accomplishment, make you happy. A home is a place where you can get away from all the craziness in the world and feel safe. Some people don't understand the real meaning of a home. Sometimes they're just grumpy and don't realize that they have people who love them. Some people don't understand that there's people out there that don't have a home. They don't have that safe and welcoming feeling. A house isn't as special as a home. A home has so many things that make you feel calm and happy. You need that place, that home, that helps you refresh and helps you feel like yourself. Your best self. Some people don't have a home, some people don't even have a house. They don't have a roof over their head, they don't have warm clothing for the winter. Everybody needs to remember that they're fortunate that they have a home. Habitat for Humanity is working hard everyday hoping to make everybody in Canada have a home. The right one.
