Home has many meanings to me

The meaning of home is different than the meaning of house because a house is the place you buy or rent, but home, whether it’s a apartment, condo, or house is a place you know you can safely raise your kids, a place where you can make memories. That is the difference to me. Home is the place you go after work and the place you get to sleep. Home is the place you feel the most comfortable, the place you feel the most at peace, and where you stress the least. Home is where you can sit as a family and eat, or lounge on a nice couch and maybe, watch some tv. That is what home means to me. Of course, home doesn’t always mean what I’m saying, someone may consider home as the hockey rink they skate in or the theatre they perform in. Still, it’s home. A home can come in all different shapes and sizes, it can be big,small,short, or tall but it is still home to you. Home can be filled with family, whether they’re biological or chosen. Home can be the smell of your mom or dad’s cooking, or the feeling of a embrace. Home is where you feel the most safe, calm, happy, and sometimes sad and mad. These are some of the things home can be. This is why home has many meanings to me.
