What a Loving is Home
A home is not a house. It’s a place you fill with core memories, thoughts and emotions. It’s where your parents plan and host surprises and parties for you, to show they care. The living room is where everybody gathers, chatters and fills the air with laughter, while my dad exclaims “funny” dad jokes. The kitchen is where my mother cooks delicious meals I love, or don’t love, but I eat it anyways to make her feel good, and proud. It smells of everything she cooked for us with love. The bathroom is where you just gaze at yourself and ponder off into your thoughts. Your bedroom is where your mind unwinds, and you get a bit of privacy from the long and exhausting day. The basement is always cold, but that's where your memories are, even if it didn’t physically happen. LIke that one toy with food stains on it, but you adored it and took it everywhere you went.
A house can be big or small, soft or hard, cold or warm, and quiet or loud. But a home is big in love, warm in words, and always loud. Family is what makes a home responsible, loving, caring and just overall a safe and warm place you miss.
