What Home Means to Me
My home is like a circus where my brothers play.
They put on a show, but when they leave everything feels quiet.
So then comes my cat.
His soft, short fur seems to be everywhere!
He rubs against me until my clothes are covered in fur.
I could pass as a cat as well.
Home is not a house.
A house is furniture and walls, a roof and a floor.
But a home is love and protection.
My home smells like candles, incense and freshly ground herbs.
My home looks cluttered but tidy.
It's cozy and warm.
A place where I can be myself and not be judged.
Sure, my home can be messy and loud, even furry!
But at the end of the day,
my home is a cozy place,
I look forward to coming back after a long day.
Home is where the heart is.
