Home

The feeling of home is not some walls and some corners. It's the feeling of love when you walk into the room. And in tough times when you need support, the support is already there. My house is a shelter in a place you can call home, but it is not home. Home is the love and support from your family. Unconditional love when you walk into the room. You can feel the undying bond that you have with your mom. She's like a Baba when she cooks in the kitchen. In the dining room where we share our memories and stories from school. Then we say our undying prayer that we all do. Then we say Amen and we dig in. While my mom does the dishes and my dad tells jokes. We go to the living room where we watch our favorite show. We all laugh and have a good time. Then it's almost my bedtime so I give my dad a hug. He kisses me on the forehead. I go to my mom while she's looking at recipes. I give her a hug. And she says she loves me. I go into my sister's room. She gives me a high five and says goodnight. I give her a smile and I walk into my room. Then I remember to go brush my teeth in the in the bathroom. I brush my teeth quick and simple. Then I walked to my room and say I love you they say it back and I shut my door. I turn off my light. Get back into my bed and say goodnight. I count my sheep in my head. My eyes close. I go to sleep.
