What Home is to Me

A house usually has 4 walls and a roof, nothing much, but home means way more than you think. I see it as a set of fireworks. When they launch high into the night sky their sparks illuminate in a sanctuary called “home” Each glowing spark representing a beautiful outstanding memory that is indelible to you. Home is a sanctuary filled with wonder and bliss. Nostalgic memories are made with colors and things all around you, like snowflakes, each snowflake capturing a memory that can be doleful or really cheerful. Home can look like a book cover until you read the inside of it; you can realize just how amazing it truly is. It contains its very own history, your own family. All of your memories, past and present, come from home. A place like fireworks that goes their own way after a long time. A house can have 4 walls and a roof, but home is a beautiful compact, filled with memories of your family and so much more rejuvenative things too. I can hear, taste, smell, see and feel like I’m home, a place full of wonder and a place where your fairytales come to life. Where you would smile, be sad, bored, angry. Eventually… you’ll grow older and they will fade away, but home will always hold onto those precious memories for a long time, even when you probably won’t look back. Home, so much more than you think, not a place with 4 walls and a roof. A sanctuary. A place with family and love that holds history…
