What Home Means to Me
Home is more than just a building and decor,
It’s a place you adore.
It’s where you feel secure,
Where all feelings are pure.
You could express yourself, and feel alive,
Where no one can judge as you thrive.
Home is where I’m free,
Home is the best, and everyone can agree.
It fills up quickly with love and care,
It's where hope and pride can be shared!
Sure you may get angry,
But trust me, you're just cranky.
It’s a place where you could learn,
Where you’d want to return.
It’s where I can share my intelligence,
Where I can express in elegance.
It’s where you grow,
And where love flows.
It holds echos from your old and forgotten,
It’s where you’ll never go rotten!
A simple game night is where we would shout the answers,
It’s the only time we lose our manners.
A simple movie night could share bonding time,
The love in the air felt like a crime.
There’s always so many smiles,
Smiles that go on for miles.
And it’s okay to spot a frown out of the crowd,
Because it’s okay to express your feelings out loud.
The laughter spreads,
And it’s always about something someone said.
These are the memories you want to keep,
Because every family is unique.
Home is where you and I belong,
Because everyone there gets along.
Whether your blood related, or not,
You’ll get more love than you ever thought.
My heart glows,
And it shows.
I hope everyone can feel the same way,
Starting from today.
Everyone has a home,
A free place to roam.
I feel blessed everyday,
Not everyone has a place to stay.
It’s always so loving,
Hatred is nothing.
Home has what you need,
Everything, indeed.
Thank you!
