Meaning of Home
Home has a meaning. It's not just a place to live at or a place to go to. So today, I'm going to share my home story.
When I think about home, I think of being loved, being happy, and feeling at ease. I think of the joy of laughing with my siblings, cuddling with my mom when I'm scared, and bonding with my family.
Home is a place to be free, a place to be loved, and a place to be creative. Home is a place where you can be yourself, a place where you can imagine, a place to be warm when you sleep, and a place you can make memories every day you wake up.
Home is a place where you can be passionate, a place where you can be goofy, funny and silly, and a place where you can be thankful. Home is a place to have big family gatherings, a place to play with you siblings, and a place to experience things you’ve never experienced before!
Home smells like baking with my family, lighting a candle when the power goes out, and making popcorn while watching a movie. Home smells like a cake when we are celebrating a birthday, like burned bacon when my dad burns the bacon, like my mom making hot chocolate during a cold, chilly day. Home smells like my mom’s perfume when she’s going out.
Home feels like a pillow fight with my siblings, cuddling under a blanket when I’m cold, and my cat’s soft fur when we are cuddling. Home feels like a nice warm bed to sleep in and soft cozy pajamas to match with my family on Christmas. Home feels like a sweet comforting hug from my parents.
I love my home. It is an amazing place that makes me feel safe.
