Meaning of Home

Today I’m going to share a bit about home. I will explain what a home should be and why everyone deserves one, so let's dive in. For me, home is a place to feel safe and cared for. My home is a cozy spot where I can relax and let down my guard. It is also a warm refuge, which is essential in the winter. During the summer, it can be a cool escape when it gets hot outside. While my home is safe and cozy, for others it can be a living nightmare. Most homes provide safety for many people, but sometimes home can be a violent environment for kids. Sometimes children have to be taken away from their homes. It’s that bad. Some people deserve a home but can't access one due to financial struggles, mental health issues, or other difficulties. I know that there are homeless shelters and soup kitchens but this is not a home that is safe and stable. I, personally, think that everyone deserves a home because people need a place to have shelter and food. If I get this grant, I will use it to support building some more tiny homes in my neighborhood. I hope you liked my short essay on the meaning of home.
