Two homes one world

I step inside my home, my worries cease, Love awaits, my heart ‘s at peace. My Mother’s hands, so warm and true, A meal prepared, a dream in view. My father makes my world so bright, He makes it safe and strong, wrapped in light, We Siblings laugh, sometimes we fight, and we play, Yet our love remains at close of day. But far away, in a place where a door once stood, A home with full of love is now lost in dust and blood. A child like me, with dreams so wide, Now sleeps, beneath a shattered sky. They too had names, a place to sleep, A mother’s hug, where love runs deep. They held their father’s hand so tight, They laughed, they played, they dreamed at night. What was their crime? What was their sin? To wish, to live, to simply be? The world looks on, yet does not see, As childhood drowns in misery. Why do I wake to peace and light, While they are lost to endless night? Two homes, one world- so torn, unfair, I whisper their names in silent prayer. Home is love, home is peace A place where laughter never flees. But why is home not safe for all? Why must their dreams fade and fall?
