Embarrassed to Describe my Home!
How can I say “My home means the whole world to me! It’s not just the walls, concrete, and wood; it’s my own family and memories!” How can I say that, while millions of children lost their families and homes due to war, earthquakes, tsunami and even more!
I’m not reluctant to say that my home is the place where I can be myself acting silly, where I can have a whole lot of fun, and embrace many memories!
Then it pops up in my head, what about those poor children and what kind of memories they have about their homes! A window, backyard, bedroom, kitchen full of delicious aroma.
My memories are full with my dad’s renowned barbeque, my mom’s delicious cooking, and my sisters’ baked brownie fill my nose and the house with unforgettable aroma.
In my home, I know where everything is especially all the secret places my mom hides candy from me!
See, this why I am a shamed to describe what home means to me! Secret places for candy or hide and seek, but many terrified children don’t have a place to hide from the enemy!
My favourite place in my home is my room where I pray, play, and relax most of the day. My room is very tidy but my sisters always make a mess when they come to my room, but it’s okay since I get payback. So how I can describe my room where I pray and relax, a room where peace is found. While I am sure that many poor children can’t do their prayers in a room safely and sound!
The living room is full with collections of many fun times playing, watching, and laughing. The basement is always a fun where most of the nerf gun fights take place. But the best thing about home is that it's where I feel safe and loved. My family is always there for me, no matter what. I know I am blessed and I pray to God to bless all with safe and warm home!
