A Home For All

We are privileged in many ways, To have a home where we can stay. A roof above, a place to rest, With love and warmth, we’re truly blessed. Our families stand, steadfast and true, Giving their all in what they do. Yet many souls, lost in the night, Sleep on sidewalks, out of sight. No sturdy walls, no safe embrace, Only the biting cold, on their face, While we find comfort, from head to toe, They search for shelter in the snow. At home, love flows like golden light, Soft as honey, warm and bright. Our pain may rise, sharp and deep, Yet still, a home is ours to keep. But there is hope—a helping hand, A group that seeks to heal the land. Habitat for Humanity stands tall, Building homes—a home for all. With every brick and every door, They give what many had before— A place to dream, to laugh, to grow, A chance for life to truly glow. And so we stand, with hearts open wide, Grateful for those who turn the tide. For every person, lost or known, Deserves a place to call their own.
