The Meaning of Home

Home is like your own temple. When you get home, there’s nothing you want to do except jump on the couch and watch T.V., but then your family walks in the door. You want to keep watching T.V., but you can't stop thinking about your family So you get off the couch and ask them what they want to do. A few minutes later, you forget entirely about T.V. You’re too busy playing with your family. After an hour or so, it’s time to go to bed. It turns out that your night was better off without T.V. If you think that night was fun, think about how much you are missing out on. Too many screens can be bad for you. So if you can resist, try not to go on screens too much. Home is like your own temple because you spend most of your life there. If you moved, you would have to leave a lot of memories and friends behind you. It may feel like it is impossible to get a home back, but Habitat for Humanity can help you get a home back again. You may feel lost and uncomfy, but a home is to take those feelings away. It’s just like that old timey saying, there’s no place like home. Without a home, you won’t survive the coldest day in five years which was January 22, 2025. So go to Habitat for Humanity and get a house so you can just be you.
