MEANING OF HOME
A house is a house, but is it a home?
A house is a big room with a roof and a door, but a home is a place with a family and more.
You can act like yourself each day and at night, sleeping in a cozy bed with blankets on tight.
A house is not a home until you make it your own, so let your family be close and let your brightness be shown.
A house is a place where the lights hang above, but your home is where family is caring with love.
A house is a place that can feel quite lonely, but your family is somewhere that can feel very homely.
In a place that is filled with love and joy, wouldn't you rather be at home with a toy?
At Christmas, my family will put up the tree, with the lights hung outside for the neighbors to see.
My home is where my sister is near, and my parents are close for me to hear.
On the walls, I see pictures of family and friends, in a place where the happiness will never end.
Where we eat all our food is not so important, as the food that you make together which is portent.
To live in a big house or small house doesn't matter, just a place with a family that is full of laughter.
With a home with a family you have all that you need, just the people that love to help you succeed.
Thank you Habitat for Humanity for giving homes to the people in need! We appreciate all of your work.
