To me, all homes (and my home) have 4 important properties that mean the sanctuary of comfort that makes up home. 1. Home is diverse: Everybody has a place of comfort to which they call home, it can be a place, a feeling, a love, but the number of things people find home in rivals the stars of the milky way. 2. Home takes time! Home does not like to be rushed. If you push it, it will take longer to emerge, if you ignore it, you will be left with none of the comforting feeling that you are home. Home will not be rushed. 3. Home is more than special. This sounds confusing, but I think that home is special because you trust it to hold things that are special to you. As the place that holds your special things, home becomes special, but in a way, MORE than special. And finally, 4. Home is YOU. YOU decide. YOU make the decisions. YOU are in control. YOU make the choice to allow a place, thing or feeling to feel like home. To me, home is snow, family, food, books, lego, and friends. To you, Home is what you make it. It is YOUR decision, and you are in control. This is my meaning, but the wonder of home is impossible to explain in words, and we can only marvel at the wonder of the meaning of home.
