The Invisible Home

Once upon a time, there was a young girl with blonde hair and hazel eyes who walked into her church and started to pray. She said amen and was about to leave but saw the priest; she stopped and asked him, “Do you know how to stay under God's roof when I leave the church?” The priest responded by saying, “Come back on Sunday with your family, and I will tell the church community.” She nodded and left. That Sunday she came back with her family, and they sat down. They sang songs, prayed, and gained peace with each other. Just as the mass was about to end, the priest brought the holy water and splashed it on everyone while saying. “This is the water blessed with the Holy Spirit, and when you are splashed with it, you will be blessed and protected by the Holy Spirit, so when you leave today, you will still be under God's roof.” While everyone else was leaving, the little girl ran over to the priest and gave him a hug with the biggest smile on her face; she whispered in the priest's ear, thank you, and ran back to her mom while waving bye to the priest. That is what a home means to me.
