My Lighthouse and my Lighthome

In my writing you will learn about the difference of a house and a home. After I learned the difference it helped my outlook in life. Knowledge is strength and wisdom is growth and together it helps us know the meaning of life. A house IS a refuge, but it doesn’t hold a place in our hearts. It IS a place we go to stay away from the things we dislike, but it doesn’t give us growth to face our challenges. A house is a place we go on a stormy day. Houses are physical places. A house is a place with a roof, floors, walls, rooms and doors. A home is a place we run to in troubles. A home is a place that motivates us to face our fears. We may run to our home in fright, but we ALWAYS come back out with determination. A place to call home is a place that holds memories of our accomplishments, our love, and our struggles, but it also shows how we broke away from our struggles. My home has a family that loves me. My home is a place that my secrets stay. My home is a place that encourages me to move forward. My home is where I grow and learn. So this is where we come to our conclusion. A house is a place of worldly things and a home is a place we can call our own and everything in it is ours. I love my home!
