Home Means To Me...

My home means more than furniture and wooden walls. Home means memories, It means family, love, safety, joy and laughter. When I think of these feelings I think of the best place in the whole entire world, my home. Home means laughter. When laughter fills the air, I feel safe and loved, like my mum or dad has given me a warm hug. They always lay with me when I feel down, they treat me like a queen wearing a crown. The love and joy that floats around is more than a little tiny sound. Home means enjoying the view of the trees and skies. When seasons go by I smell wet rain coming from the sky. My property is gorgeous when I see the sunrise. As our property glows I feel the opposite of low. When many birds sing I feel happy like I can fly, I'm on top of the trees outside. The chairs on my deck are perfectly fine, but the sun up above beautifully shines. Home means the luckiness of having food on the table. When I wake up I smell cooking in the kitchen, my dad or mum has cooked something delicious, for all of my family to enjoy. Sitting at the table all gathered around we laugh and chat. It's a beautiful sound. The food on the table leaves me amazed “oh” how lucky I am to enjoy this day. So Home is everything, It's a bundle of joy. No house can beat it because a home is more. Everyone deserves a beautiful home where you feel all the feelings that I feel. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for our lovely homes in Canada. -Sadie Quaiff
