Home

Home is not just an empty building, it's a place with loving family and cheer. No matter the weather or the shape and size. A home is special with all our family together! What matters is we are happy. It's a safe space where you are welcome. It is a privilege to own a home, have food and water, not everyone does! A home is a safe space if you are feeling sad, mad, worried, stressed or scared. Home is a place to be open about your feelings with your family and friends, it's a space to be yourself and love yourself. I love my space and sometimes you may need your space. It’s ok in your home to be you! At your home you have privileges. For example, having a place to rest your head, going outside it's a wonderful place to be outside with nature in your backyard. You should be grateful not everyone has privileges for example food, water, a bed of their own and much more. Most of all, having a home and a loving family is important. Family is always there for you. It's what makes your house a home, every family has something different like a tradition, a way of showing they care. My home does not just have furniture, but people sitting on the furniture. From my family to friends my home is never truly empty! I feel like Habitat for Humanity is helping families that can't support a home and kids, but best of all are all the volunteers and families donating to Habitat for Humanity to provide a safe space. It helps alot for all of the people who may not even have homes or privileges, and they have to move for medical care all the time. It helps to have a home closer to a nearby hospital or care centers! Everlee Lobb
