What Home Means to Me

Home is more than a place where you sleep, Home is a place full of memories to keep. The dining room, where our families meet, Where guests come for parties to munch when we meet. The bedrooms, with beds very soft to the touch, The pillows make it feel like you want to sleep very much. The kitchen, where tasty spells are born, Like beef and broccoli or vegetables, rice, and corn. The basement, the coolest part of our home, Where there are toys, games, and space to roam. The office, where our parents work all day, Where there is quiet if you need a hideaway. The 3 mini libraries scattered all over the house, lower and higher, Filled with books like The Chronicles of Narnia or Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire. The backyard, with the mini playground and swings, You can do so many fun different things. The driveway, with a basketball net and a parked car, Where I play basketball and score from afar. The garden, with all the lovely plants, Where they grow tall and there is lots of ants. The attic, where there is lots of pink dust, Where nails get stuck, and it smells like rust. To me, home is more than just walls, ceilings, and floors, It’s a place where our family makes memories, shares love, and much, much more!
