Home Means to Me
Home means many things to me. I love my home and I am going to tell you why. It means more than walls and a roof. It means a warm and cozy place where you make lots of memories and a place where you spend time with your family and feel safe.
Home is a safe place for me. When you are on a vacation or a trip, you know you will have a safe place to go back to. Home means a safe place where you can go outside and play in your backyard. It’s a safe place to keep your stuff that is really special to you like the stuff you made when you were really little and the things you collect over the years.
A home is a place where you can spend time with your family. Like having a campfire and roasting marshmallows in your backyard or having a family movie night and watching your favourite movie. Or even having a delicious dinner that your parents made you and a dinner table where you can talk about your day.
A home is warm and cozy. When you have been playing outside with your siblings like sledding or building a snowman in winter. You have a place to go to get warm by drinking hot chocolate by the warm fireplace. You wake up every morning in your warm and cozy bed.
It is a place where you make memories with the people you love from when you are really little to now. Like waking up on Christmas morning, being so excited to open presents and spend time with your family.
That's why home is super special to me. It means a warm cozy place where you make memories with your family and feel safe. Everyone deserves a safe place to call home.Thank you Habitat for Humanity. I am proud to be participating in this contest to help out my community.
