Meaning of Home
Home is more than just four walls and a roof. It’s the memories you make there, the laughter that echoes throughout the house. Every little thing that happens there. Even a place could be your home, maybe even a person. Home is where you can be yourself and express your true feelings. Whether our houses are big, small, fancy or modest. It doesn’t matter in the end, in the end what really matters is that we have a roof to live under, food to be fed and a family that loves us.
Home is where I have stupidly funny sleepovers with my friends, it’s where I bake cookies with my mom, it’s where we have all our family game nights together, and most importantly it’s where my friends and family are. Even if sometimes the whole family isn’t together it still feels like home. Home can be anything or anyone, even a pet. Home is someplace special, it’s where we can be ourselves without feeling judged or stared at. It’s the feeling of love and being loved, it’s the sound of laughter and fun. Home can be anything but mostly a feeling, not everyone has a home as unfortunate as it is. Home is where love resides, memories are created, friends always belong, and laughter never ends. It's where you feel comfortable and safe.
Part of my home is in heaven, but I always like to believe that they're still with me, beside me, following my every step. They will always be here with me. Home is where I grew up and learned to do everything I can do now. It’s where I cuddle and play with my cats every night. It's where my brothers taught me how to skateboard. It's where me and my friends have sleepovers and end the night in laughter and tears. It’s where we grow up together and watch each other grow and get taller. Home is everything to me. Even if some of my home isn't with me anymore, I keep believing. That's what home means to me, to never give up, keep believing, and to chase your dreams.
