Safe Sanctuary
The warmth of the walls, the security of the doors, the happiness of the people, and the food on the table.
That is home.
My home is sweet, but can be sour, like a cherry.
It's been through a lot, but it will always be my safe sanctuary.
After my mom and dad took their rings off, after my dad walked out the door, everything felt eerie.
I hope my home is still my safe sanctuary.
It's been a year. I now have 2 homes. I have to leave my sanctuary sometimes. I think my dad is looking to marry.
I guess my home is still my safe sanctuary.
After 2 years, my grandfather has now passed. He will be missed by his little brother Terry.
My home doesn't feel like my safe sanctuary.
I'm slowly gaining back my happiness now. Friends are confusing, and life is scary.
But at the end of the day I can always go back to my safe sanctuary.
My siblings are grown up, and I am the only one in the house. In my comfy bed is where I feel merry.
My siblings may be gone, but my home is still my safe sanctuary.
Home to me is my safe place where no matter the problems in the world, or the changes, one thing stays the same. I can always have a place to call home. I hope everyone can find a home some day. A place that they can call their safe sanctuary, because this world is unfair. Home.
