Meaning of Home

Home to me means more than just a place to sleep or eat. It's a place where I feel safe, loved, and cared for. When I step through the door, I feel like I can be myself and forget about everything else. It is also a place where my family is, where we celebrate birthdays, holidays, or just play games on rainy afternoons. It is where I can relax and be myself, without being judged. For me, home is where I can think and make up current ideas and do homework at my desk. My home is also where I keep personal things, like pictures of my family or my favorite books. When I am coming home from a long day at school, I can smell my dad's cooking all over the kitchen. Even if I move, or go somewhere new, if I have my family with me, it will feel like home. It is not just the people, but also the memories I have made, like how to ride a bike or where I had my first pet. From the day I was born, my home has taught me to be kind and to always be nice to others. My favourite chair, my room, all these little things make my house feel like home. In a world that is constantly changing, my home stays constant. It is a place that supports me and loves me. Even when I am at my cousin's house, or somewhere on vacation, the thing I look most forward to is coming back home. It is where I can be with the people and things I love most. That is why to me, home is more than building.
