What Does Home Mean to Me?

What does home mean to me? Home is a place where I can get away from the rest of the outside world. It’s a place of safety so I can eat, sleep and play with my family and friends. Home is a place to build good memories and play my favorite video games. It’s where I can truly be myself. A home isn’t defined by its size, but by the love and warmth that can fill it. It’s the scent of my aunt's barbecue ribs with hickory smoke sauce cooking in the kitchen. with the sound of family and friends laughing and talking. Home is where I can recharge, unwind,and just relax. Home for me is where no matter what I will always be supported and loved even if I did something bad, like not taking out the trash, doing dishes, or me not even making my bed. My home is always there. If I were to describe my home in three words it would be loving, comfortable, and supporting. What my home means to me is like when you have the best video game ever and you never want to get rid of it. Home is knowing you have a team behind you, always cheering you on, cooking, and being there for you when you need someone to talk to when you need it the most. I always have my family's support when I come home from school, basketball, or even a vacation. Knowing my dog will be there to comfort me when I'm sad or happy. This is what home truly means to me.
