What is Home?

For me, home is a place where I feel happy and warm, Where I can stay calm and feel my belonging form, Sitting on the sofa with a book in hand, Listening to the songs from my favorite band. But home is not the same for everyone, It can be a place where everybody calls you “Hon”, Home is not just a house, Where I wear my colorful blouse, It is something greater, Somewhere with not a hater, Home is where you can make memories and remember them, Home doesn’t need to be a place where there's a valuable gem, Home is where you can be yourself, Not just a building with a shelf, Home is a place where you can feel free to express your feelings, Doesn’t have to be a house with a ceiling, Steady, safe, and comfortable are words to describe your home, A home doesn’t need a garden gnome, Your home doesn’t need windows or a front door, A home needs food you can devour. Home is where you feel safe, Where you have space to imagine and create, Whatever you think, Your home can be red, yellow or blue, The feeling just should be true. Home is different for everyone, It can be where work is done, People often say “Home, Sweet, Home”, But be mindful because some still have no home, Will always have no home, or are still finding their home, Whatever home means to you, Remember to always have a different point of view, Just put yourself in other people’s shoes, To imagine them fighting their issues, Everybody has different days, And so many different ways, So even if they don’t need to roam, Everyone deserves a home.
