Poem from home

A home is like a house in many ways, known. Home is a place where you play, live, and sleep, But a house has walls and corners so neat. A property that you can't beat, But your home has a special place to eat. Your home gives you love and support, And a place for you to watch Homer and Bart. A home has your heart, And a house is all nice and neat. But your home is where you love and you eat. A house may have a place to sleep, But home is where you eat, have fun, and sleep. A house is clean with an owner that's mean, The owner may be grumpy, but the fridge is full of beans. Been walking lately because the house is for sale, The house may look big, but the price is bigger than a whale. It won't last a minute with hail, Although it's nice and neat, There's a mouse that squeaks on repeat. So a house is made of wood, metal, and concrete. A home has a kitchen full of sweets, All so yummy to eat. And about the price, Some homes don’t cost a dime— It’s not your house, it's mine. My home is the best and where I study for tests, I like to play my videos on how to beat Stereo Madness. And my bird has a case of sadness. A home is a place to sleep, But you can’t when the microwave goes beep, beep, beep, beep, beep. I like to eat meat. By: Jake Grade: 5 School: Ecole Wascana Plains
