A Home is Not A House

A House might look nice on the outside But a home feels nice on the inside. A House might have nice things, But a home has a beating heart A House might have cool colour walls like pink and blue, But My home might be Ugly and messy, but it’s full of Love. A House might stand out on a busy street, But a home is tucked away in your heart. A House might have 4 walls to protect you from rain, But a home is a beautiful place like my Wonderland. A House is where you will find people you like, But a home is where you find people that matter. A house might be pretty on the outside and ugly on the inside, But a home is pretty inside and out no matter what happens You can feel comfortable in a house, But it’s in a home I feel loved. A house is a structure, made of bricks and stone But a home is a feeling, that can be shown A house may have a fancy design, But a home is where true beauty shines. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for taking time out of your day To put others before yourself and for teaching me that kindness goes a long way, and that teamwork makes the dream work. And now I’m thankful for what I have.
