Meaning of home

Home is not just a place that keeps a roof over your head it’s a place that holds love, memories, cozy warm hugs, and family traditions These things make my home, home. My mom wakes me up with her usual comforting smile and the delicious smell of her freshly made pancakes and the grinding sound of my dad’s coffee. The sight of my dog Charlie bathing under the warm sun, and my older sister getting ready for the day this makes home, home. The special traditions that set my family apart from other family’s like homemade Saturday morning pancakes, decorating the house for holidays, and Fridays night movies, These things make home, home. Home keeps your loved ones safe to continue our unique traditions and make more memories with one another. So I can continue playing my favourite made up games with my sister, reading my favourite book in bed with mom, and helping dad with his delicious Sunday night meals. This makes home, home. Home is a place I can express myself and be myself. Home is a place with memories I can look back on when I’m older. And as my mom tucks me in with a goodnight kiss all Theas warm loving memories fill my head in a house I call home.
