What Home Means to Me

What my home means to me My home is not a house. My home is a place where I can feel safe and secure. A house is not a home because a house is something that has plane painted walls with random pictures. Meanwhile my home has walls that were painted with love and care and pictures that hold all of my family's fun and amazing memories. A home is where you hold your traditions like coming home from school and smelling one of your favorite foods that one of your parents made. Doesn't that smell just make you smile? Meanwhile a house just has food that isn't the same or maybe it's store bought and it's just not the same and doesn't make you feel the same way, and it doesnt give off that special effect the way your parents make it. A home holds all of your emotions that won't go away. But somehow in a house it makes you feel like all of your emotions just fly out the window. Home means so much more to me than a house because I get to be in the same home with my family and it makes me feel so grateful. Also I love my home because I have a dog who lives in my home and he makes me feel like I always belong because he is always kind to me and is always waiting for me to get home from school. Also I love my home because I get my own room and it makes me feel very safe and cozy. A home is not a place with painted walls it is so much more. These are the reasons what a home means to me!
