My Home

My home is more than a house. To a different person it might be but, to me it’s a place ware I make memories. In the living room we watch movies with my dogs and have a cup of hot chocolate after a cold day outside and celebrate a birthday or holiday with family and friends. In the kitchen, we bake cookies and cakes, the smell floats through the house and we know that soon heavenly food will be ready. In the dining room we eat amazing food, and we eat till our stomachs are full to the brim. My bedroom, a place with a cozy bed, a desk for crafts and homework, and having my Chinchilla bang around in her cage chewing on sticks. Bang, rattle, chew! On the deck, the BBQ cooks our food, and the smell makes my mouth water and stomach growl. Sitting together in the summer eating breakfast while watching the goats play in their pen. In the basement watching the fish swim in their tank, doing puzzles and swinging on our swings, creek, creek, creek, while having the fireplace going warming up the whole area. But my home is my home because of the animals on the farm, riding my horses, walking my dogs, and even doing chores. A house is not a home, a house is where you live but a home is where you make memories.
