Home

My home is simple like most, but the things that happen inside are not simple. For, in each room, there is a story to be told. Like, in the kitchen, is a story we are going to unfold. In a kitchen, a place of lots, and lots of scrumptious food. A place where a smell of dinner flows through the air and makes you exited to see what’s there. The story I told was just one of many but we got some more stories to see, one of which you may relate. A room that may seem like just a place to sleep but more, much more happens as you will see. A bedroom is a place to sleep but more than that a place to express yourself in a simple or big way. A place to set yourself free after you’ve bundled up your feelings inside. But a porch is different. A porch isn’t a room, but it is a place that has a story too. A porch is a place to sit and watch the sun set or the gentle rain fall to relax yourself in a simple way. Lastly, a room not to expect, a basement. A basement is a large place that is messy, but when cleaned up, a wave of nostalgia hits in a second when you see the pictures from childhood. You remember the past, the happy times and the sad times. A place to remember who you are. I hope you remember what a home is. It isn’t the simple outside, but what happens inside that’s what makes it a home. So think of this when you think of a home, it isn’t the address, but the people inside that make it special.
