The Meaning of Home....

The meaning of home is different in every room. The long winding hall with old mats. The hall is welcoming as it invites your guests in to hang out, or you home from school. Where your dog awaits to pounce on you when you come back from the grocery store. The kitchen has all the wondrous aromas as they rise from the oven. The warm scent of fresh cookies as they rise in the oven makes my mouth water. The memories of when dad burnt the chicken, and we just had pancakes instead. The evening chats that help you become a better person, dinner conversation, and midnight laughs. The living room is a comfortable and cozy place where everything happens from watching TV in the morning, to comedy movies in the evening. Not forgetting all the pedicures and zoo birthday parties. Then the bedrooms where cuddles and adventurous dreams await you. Not forgetting the yard where you roll in the grass all summer, run through sprinklers, and listen to summer music. The place where all your friends go in the pool and trampoline. Your home does not have to be big to be special. All the little memories and moments make up a home. Safety, how you can unclutter and be yourself and let your emotions fly loose. Home is a place where being comfortable is a priority and looking amazing is not required. Wherever you have comfort and look forward to going back to is home. You feel you see yourself in the things and memories you have, resembling you and only you. A place where you can look around and see your loved ones waiting, happy and proud. Home is everything.
