Meaning of Home

To me, home is where I feel safe, where I see my family gathered around the dinner table. Home is the smell of mom baking cookies or the same candle we always put on with that smell of vanilla filling the air. Home is the feeling of the floor under my feet walking down the hallway where many memories were made. Home is the touch of my warm blanket on my skin helping me fall asleep. Home is walls that keep us together and keep the warmth in when we are cold. Home is a safe place where you can be yourself, either your goofy, silly, sad, or happy home is the place where you can be anything. Home is not just a structure with walls and a roof, it's a comfortable spot where traditions are made and family games are played. Home is cozy when I'm sitting in my room watching a show while relaxing on my bed with my dog. Home is family to me, it's where I grew up and where my best memories were made. Home is not just one place, home is my community where I always feel safe even if I'm not home. For me, home is where I belong. It's not just a house, it's a living space for me where I am almost everyday. It has a base floor, a main floor, a second floor, and an attic and all those layers are where I live with my family. That's what home means to me
