Hello, today I will be talking about what’s in my home and what home means to me. In my home, I live with two people. My mom and my brother, I don’t have a dad or a sister. What is home? To me, home is calm, love, happiness, laughter, family, relaxation, shelter, and many more. Home can be anything. Homes can be big, small apartments, houses. A home can have lots of people living in it, or only 1 person living in it. Home can be fighting too, or it can be no fighting at all. What are some important objects in your home? 1. Your bed. Your bed is something you use everyday, it’s something that makes you cozy and comfortable. If you didn’t have a bed, what would you sleep on? 2. The items you use to cook with. You NEED stoves, ovens, microwaves and fridges because you won't be able to heat, cook, bake, or freeze food. 3. A TV. You don’t need TV’s that much in your home but if you didn’t have one then you can’t watch the news or anything and no entertainment. Why do we need homes? We need homes because we need a roof over our head to protect us from storms or just rain. Homes can be anything, they can even be a dumpster for poor homeless people or even a sidewalk as a home. Homes mostly include beds, couches, bathrooms, cooking supplies and more. What is the difference between houses and homes? A house is a roof over your head. A home is where you and your family live. Houses are where you can have playdates with your friends at their houses. Homes are memories. Houses can be places you rent or stay for a while. Homes last forever. Houses are nothing special. Homes are special. Houses are just places. Homes are love. Houses aren’t apartments. Homes can be apartments. What are some things in my house? In my home I have a pool and a trampoline in my backyard. When I was around 4, I came home and I saw that my whole family was building a trampoline just for me and my brother. I was so happy. I also have a Nintendo Switch and a PS5. I got my Nintendo during covid-19 so I have something to do because everything was closed and I got my PS5 this Christmas and I was really happy. I also have my mom and my brother living with me. I’m very lucky to have them and my other loved ones in my family. I hope you enjoyed my essay about the meaning of home. I hope to see you next time!
