Home
It isn’t just a building, It’s a place that I love
I see the snow out the window as white as a dove
It’s not just a roof over our heads
And it’s not just a place to store our beds
It’s where memories are made
And kept safe so they don’t fade
It’s here for me when I don’t feel like a winner
Everything feels better after a fresh chicken dinner
I hear my rooster saying cock-a-doodle-do
Telling me it’s time to start my day too
Snuggling my fuzzy bunny fills my heart
Getting my day off to a great start.
I feel the warmth of the burning fire
Or the cozy coats of my horses who I desire
I see the sun reflect off the finish of the wooden floor
and Mom asking me about my day right after I close the door
I enjoy freshly made muffins as my after school snack
Right after I empty my purple backpack
My house is a home for the reasons stated above
It’s full of laughter and light and most of all love!
