A Day at Home

In the morning at home, I wake up in my snuggly bed. My bed is one of my safe spots. My bed feels like home. When I get out of my bed, I go to my kitchen to look for my mom. In the kitchen, I find my mom making her fluffy pancake recipe. My mom’s fluffy pancakes make me feel at home. When I’m eating, my dog Jiro will want some too. I think it’s adorable when he asks for food because it reminds me of when he was a puppy. When he was a puppy, he was as fluffy as a teddy bear! Thinking of my dog as a puppy makes me feel at home. In the afternoon, I like to play with my dog. We usually play fetch or tag. My dog is super playful. Playing with my dog makes me feel at home. After I play with my dog, I like to call my dad! My dad is always on business trips for his job. So when I miss him, I call him. My dad makes me feel safe, and at home. At night, I like to put on my soft, cozy PJs. My pajamas make me feel safe and protected. After I put on my pajamas, I like to watch movies with my mom while eating dinner. I’m grateful to have warm food to eat and share. Spending time with my mom makes me feel loved, sheltered, and most of all, at home.
